Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy group, is calling for the Food and Drug Administration to require bold warnings on low testosterone drugs. Recently, the FDA announced that it was reviewing the safety of testosterone hormone therapy drugs, such as AndroGel. This was done in response to two studies that showed higher rates of cardiovascular problems in men taking “low t” drugs.
Public Citizen wants the FDS to add a “black box” warning to testosterone medications and require the manufacturers of such drugs to warn doctors about a higher risk of heart attack, stroke and death with low t treatments.
If you or a family member has been taking low testosterone or “low t” drugs and have suffered a heart attack, stroke or other problem, contact John Mattiacci today for a free consultation.
