Ford Issues Ford Escape Recall Due To Doors That Can Open While Driving

Ford Escape Recall issued because of defective doors

Ford has again recalled vehicles due to a manufacturing defect.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirmed that Ford Motor Company (Ford) has issued a recall for model year 2013-2014 Ford Escape vehicles manufactured from October 5, 2011, through April 10, 2014.

According to the NHTSA, the Ford Escape recall was issued because these vehicles may have doors that are difficult to close or that may open while the vehicle is driving.

What is the cause of the Ford Escape recall?

The recall was issued due to a problem with the doors on these model years. The problems with the doors is caused by a misalignment between the exterior door handle and the door’s outer panel.
